NXC WELCOMES motivated Ph.D./M.S. students, research interns, and Post Doc. Researchers
NXC Lab always aims to produce meaningful research outcome that is expected to change the world in the long run.
NXC Lab welcomes passionate and motivated Ph.D./M.S. students, undergraduate research interns, and Post Doc. researchers, who are interested in envisioning and realizing the future of networking and networked computing through working on various research topics such as AI/ML (machine learning) for networking, networking for AI/ML, 5G+/6G with computing-networking convergence, Computerized Network (Network-as-a-Computer), Deep learning for image/video/data encoding, and Internet of Things/Senses/Skills. (You can check this Paper Reading List to understand what you are going to do in NXC lab.)

[2022.01.05] Sungyong's paper on neural sound sensing, "DeepVehicleSense: An Energy-efficient Transportation Mode Recognition Leveraging Staged Deep Learning over Sound Samples" has been accepted to IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (IF: 5.577). Many congratulations and Happy New Year!
[2021.12.31] Prof. Lee is honored to win Official Commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT of Korea for his contribution to the development of 5G and 6G technologies.

[2021.07.04] Our paper in collaboration with CU Boulder, "Demystifying Commercial Video Conferencing Applications" has been accepted to ACM Multimedia (MM) 2021, which is the top ACM conference on multimedia topics. Congratulations!
[2021.06.28] Our paper "zTT: Learning-based DVFS with Zero Thermal Throttling for Mobile Devices" won the BEST PAPER AWARD from ACM MobiSys 2021! (MobiSys Opening Session in YouTube) Many many congratulations to Seyeon and Kyungmin!! (The 1st MobiSys Best Paper from Korean universities.)
[2021.05.26] Seyeon and Kyungmin's paper on ML-based processor control, "zTT: Learning-based DVFS with Zero Thermal Throttling for Mobile Devices" has been accepted to ACM MobiSys 2021 with one of the highest-level ACM artifact badges (ACM Results Reproduced Badge). [2021.03.08] Prof. Lee and our TAs received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the ECE department for his undergraduate course, Introduction to Data Communication Networks, taught in 2020 Fall. Congratulations!
[2021.03.01] Prof. Lee is honored to serve ACM MobiHoc 2022 as General co-Chair with Prof. Song Chong (KAIST) and Prof. Changhee Joo (Korea University), which will be held in Seoul.

[2020.08.18] Prof. Lee will serve in the editorial board of IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking as an Associate Editor, which is the topmost journal in the field of computer networking.
[2020.07.07] Our project, "On-path Computing enabling Large-scale Neural Network Services in 6G," teamed up with Prof. Saewoong Bahk and Prof. Hyunjong Lee is getting the premium research fund from Samsung FTF (Samsung Funding & Incubation Center for Future Technology). Congratulations!!
[2020.06.07] Our paper "Collaboration of Network Operators and Cloud Providers in Software-Controlled Networks" has been accepted to IEEE Network (IF: 8.808). Congratulations!
[2020.05.28] We made a huge success on running the first virtual conference of IEEE WCNC 2020. Many thanks to student volunteers who have done the heavy-lifting job, as Zoom room host (a.k.a. shadow session chair).
[2020.04.09] Prof. Lee will serve in the organizing committee of IEEE WCNC 2020 as a General Vice co-Chair for the success of WCNC in the format of virtual conference.
