NXC Lab aims at innovating the future of networked computing and learning with hyper-connectivity, which we believe, would extend the capability of power-limited mobile platforms limitlessly.
We envision and aim at realizing the future of networked computing and learning through working on broad research topics such as ML/RL (machine learning and reinforcement learning), Networking with ML/RL, 6G with Performance Guarantee, Computerized Network (Network-as-a-Computer), ML/RL-based image/video/data encoding, and Internet of Things, and Semantic Communications.

NXC Lab welcomes passionate and motivated Ph.D./M.S. students, undergraduate research interns, and Post Doc. researchers, who are interested in the topics above. [2022.09.13] Junseon's paper on designing a revolutionary 6G architecture for guaranteeing application-level performance, "Towards Enabling Performance-Guaranteed Networking in Next-Generation Cellular Networks" has been accepted to IEEE Communications Magazine (IF: 9.03). Many congratulations!!

[2022.06.30] Seyeon and Kyungmin's paper in collaboration with CU Boulder, "R-FEC: RL-based FEC Adjustment for better QoE in WebRTC" has been accepted to ACM Multimedia (MM) 2022, the top ACM conference on multimedia topics. Congratulations!

[2022.03.19] Jongseok and Kyungmin's paper on the optimization of GEMM for mobile platforms, "mGEMM: Low-latency Convolution with Minimal Memory Overhead Optimized for Mobile Devices" has been accepted to ACM MobiSys 2022. Many congratulations to both of you! Jongseok got this result while doing his undergraduate internship. Unbelievable!!
[2022.03.07] Prof. Lee and our TAs received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the ECE department for the undergraduate course, Introduction to Data Structures, taught in 2021 Fall. Congratulations!
[2022.02.24] Prof. Lee will serve on the Technical Program Committee for IEEE CCNC 2023 (Las Vegas, NV) as a TPC Track Chair.

[2021.12.31] Prof. Lee is honored to win Official Commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT of Korea (과학기술정보통신부 장관 표창) for his contribution to the development of 5G and 6G technologies.

[2020.07.07] Our project, "On-path Computing enabling Large-scale Neural Network Services in 6G," teamed up with Prof. Saewoong Bahk and Prof. Hyunjong Lee is getting the premium research fund from Samsung FTF (Samsung Funding & Incubation Center for Future Technology). Congratulations!!

[2020.05.28] We made a huge success in running the first virtual conference of IEEE WCNC 2020. Many thanks to student volunteers who have done the heavy-lifting job, as Zoom room host (a.k.a. shadow session chair).
